This dinner includes a tasting menu* of classic Minnesotan appetizers, entrees, dessert, and beverage items to serve 4-6 guests. Jes and Ruth will cook up a mess of food, and 4-6 guests will come join them for an evening of Minnesota Nice at Jes and Max’s home - ideally in the bleak midwinter when you need good, warm food and good, warm people. We’ll eat, talk in Minnesota accents, perhaps wear flannel, listen to a playlist of Minnesotan musicians designed and DJed by Max, and maybe even play cards. And most importantly, everyone will be nice, don’cha know The menu will include flights of tastings, possibly including a combination of these Minnesotan favorites: Venison chili Chicken wild rice soup Tater tot hotdish with green beans Cheesy root veggie hotdish Jello “salad” Wild rice, cranberry, pine-nut salad Cardamom bread Strawberry rhubarb crumble You can help us decide what we'll make in advance. These dishes can be altered to suit your dietary needs - Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options available upon request! A variety of beverages will be provided. *It’s Minnesota where winters are serious; tasting menu items are hearty. Donated by Jes Hodgson and Ruth Knezevich Starting Bid $20

This Coffeltafish knows a good hearty deal when she sees one. But here's a little bit more to sweeten the pot:
Prize now includes cribbage matches/lessons on a two-foot long Walleye carved from wood (with bobber pegs) cribbage board;
Take home MN music mixes including: The Jayhawks, The Suburbs, Atmosphere, old tyme lumberjacking fiddle music, Trampled by Turtles, Robert Zimmerman, Prince, Vikings Lynx Twins and Gopher fight songs, blustery sub-zero wind tracks, shoveling shanties, Soul Asylum, The Jets, O' Brother Where Art Thou tracks, The Boys n' The Barrel, and many more;
Cold weather dressing tips;
Passive-aggression lessons.
Not to mention the delicious food. Has anyone actually had an authentic, traditional tater-tot hotdish? Yum!
You will not be hungry (or cold) after Nice!
